Please note that wood is a living material. Especially in the cold season, we recommend that you let the piece of furniture acclimatise for a few days in a slightly warmed room (e.g. bedroom) before setting it up at your destination. This will prevent cracks in the wood. Particularly dry air (e.g. in rooms heated by fireplaces) can also lead to cracks in the wood. The optimal room humidity for solid wood is between 60 and 70%. Cracks that appear in winter usually close almost completely again over spring and summer. Please make sure that for our lamps and other electrical products you might need an adapter to fit your local electrical network.
